The Lincoln County Historical Association and Lincoln County Historic Properties Commission have assembled the troops for the 234th Anniversary of the Battle of Ramsour’s Mill in Lincolnton on Saturday, May 17 and Sunday, May 18, 2014. Sponsored by Lincoln County and the City of Lincolnton, this year’s reenactment and celebration will be the BEST EVER! There is no better way to spend the weekend with your family!

Celebrate with Friends, Family and Nature on the Carolina Thread Trail in Lincoln County at the Battle of Ramsour's Mill site

You are invited to attend a special event marking an important milestone for Lincolnton and Lincoln County - the celebration of a new marked segment of the Carolina Thread Trail in the county. This segment of The Thread skirts around Battle of Ramsour's Mill Historic Site and will eventually connect to City Park, the Marcia H. Cloninger Rail Trail and the South Fork River, as well as many communities and destinations within the 15-county Carolina Thread Trail footprint.

GHOST WALK ADDED ON FRIDAY, MAY 18, 2012

Apparently there are lots of folks who ain't fraid a no ghost because our Saturday night, May 19 Ghost Walk has reached capacity. Because of the demand, we are now selling tickets for a Friday night, May 18 Ghost Walk.

Tickets are $5 per person, and can be purchased by contacting the LCHA office at (704) 748-9090 or lcmh@bellsouth.net.

The Ghost Walk will start promptly at 8:30 p.m. at the main log building on the site. Follow the signs.

Make sure to purchase your tickets for the Friday night Ghost Walk before we sell out.

Ghost Walk at Battle of Ramsour's Mill 2012

I ain't 'fraid a no ghost! Lincolnton author, historian, and magician Daniel W. Barefoot will lead a Ghost Walk of the historic Battle of Ramsour's Mill site in Lincolnton on Saturday night, May 19, 2012.

The tour will wind through the various trails leading to a mass grave, Whig Captains' Grave, John M. Shuford'S grave, site of Ramsour's Mill, and other historic resources located on the site. The tour will start at the main log building at the Ramsour's Mill site at 8:30 p.m.
