Help/Support

The Battle of Ramsour's Mill site is owned and supported financially by Lincoln County. The City of Lincolnton provides annual financial support to help with the celebration and re-enactment, and we have received occasional financial contributions from local businesses to offset costs associated wit the annual event.

There are myriad ways to help us support our annual event and preserve this historic site. WE NEED YOUR HELP TODAY!

The annual celebration and re-enactment requires between 75 and 100 volunteers over the course of the weekend, and we could definitely use more! June is an extremely hot month, and providing relief for our volunteers in essential to preventing an potential issues relating to the weather. If you have an interest in being a part of our amazing team, please contact Tina Guffey at (704) 748-9090 or tina.guffey@yahoo.com to request a meeting with our staff or a list of volunteer opportunities.

Our volunteers are extremely important, and equally important are financial contributors. We have a long list of plans for our historic site that our outlined in our strategic plan, but financial obstacles prevent us from making them a reality. Some of our plans include erecting more interpretive signage at the various historic resources at the site, developing multimedia school programs that students can access through devices in their classrooms, and the acquisition of additional property to provide more context.

Please contact our office to learn more about our financial needs, and visit the Reports/Studies section of our website to read our strategic plan. To make financial contributions, contact Jason L. Harpe, Lincoln County Historical Association executive director, at (704) 748-9090 or lcmh@bellsouth.net.
